It was only this afternoon when I was sorting through some digital photographs that I realised I still hadn't checked them out online.
The Ministry of Craft is based in Manchester city centre, they run a wide range of creative courses at aimed at true beginners right up to those who have more experience in needlework knitting, printing, lampshade making, all manner of things. You can even go along and hire a sewing machine for an hour or two.
I was really excited and impressed by the sheer wealth or what is on offer and better still, to my mind the course prices are really reasonable starting at £25. You can even buy gift certificates. Members also receive a 10% discount on the day of the course at iconic art craft and design shop Fred Aldous.
Make your own knickers anyone?
The Dormouse team love eating out and one of our favorite places to lunch is Wagamama so when we were invited to try out the new menu, well, it was an offer we couldn't refuse.
A couple of weeks ago myself and a friend visited the restaurant at Mint Hotel Manchester for afternoon tea.

If you are looking for a festive treat, but short on time, why not pop down to the Opus One Bar at the Radisson Edwardian Manchester where they will mix you up a special winter cocktail from their new menu.
Each cocktail is themed on tea blends and rich coffee roasts, and contains a mix of flavoured spirits and luxury liquors. You can choose from the following - Almond Coffee, Chocolate Dream, Orangiata Coffee, Warm Pear Coffee, Vanilla Vodka Coffee and White Surprise (£10 each). Each is served with a luscious homemade mince pie. It's like Christmas in a glass and ideal for an after work catchup with friends or a nightcap after a trip to the festive markets.
If you have longer to stay Opus One are also offering a Festive Afternoon Tea (£14.50pp). The menu offers a selection of tempting cakes including chocolate torte, carrot cake, fruit cake and spiced rum chocolate éclair. Fresh homemade Seville orange and marmalade scones and sweet cranberry scones are also served with clotted cream and preserves. Savories include a roast turkey and thyme jam on bloomer, Mrs Appleby’s Cheshire cheese on malted bloomer, smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber on rye and roast beef and horseradish on bloomer.
