Monday Review : Hop on down the rabbit hole for something quite delicious!

11:50 am

When we heard about London chocolatiers Lucky's pop up shop in Harvey Nichols London we were fascinated with their Alice in Wonderland theme. As you may know we are Alice fans ourselves and the concept of a whole range, a quality chocolate range at that, in a Wonderland themed shop oh my ears and whiskers!

Unfortunately we were unable to get to the capital to see it for ourselves, but determined that we wouldn't miss out on the tea party the kind people at Lucky's sent us a selection of their exclusive honey based cake squares to try.

They certainly shouted "Eat Me!"

Beautifully presented in a sumptuous gift box, decorated with silver White Rabbits and white fur interior sat three delicious treats. Each one thickly coated with the finest pure Valrhona© chocolate, containing soft spiced cake and a different rich and creamy filling.

We tried:

Nutty Delay
35% white chocolate covered and chocolate praline filling

This was delicious we loved the fresh tasting praline and the lovely spiced cake, with the gorgeous creamy white chocolate.

Fancy Fudge
60% cacao dark chocolate covered and milk caramel filling

The contrast of dark chocolate and milk caramel was a taste sensation. We loved how the caramel oozed out, a bit messy but worth it.

Coco Rush
60% cacao dark chocolate covered & coconut cream filling

This was exactly like a grown up Bounty bar, I am afraid to say none of the rest of the team got a look in with this one. It would be really nice to cut up and serve with after dinner drinks.

Each 95g unit serves two and we would go as far to say in two sittings, as they really were very rich and satisfying. At £9.50 a bar they are quite expensive, but we believe you get what you pay for and would be lovely as a special present.

You can see more of Lucky's themed chocolates and treats and purchase them online at http://www.luckys-online.co.uk

Never has following the white rabbit been so delicious!

We received chocolates from Lucky's free of charge to review.
