The Petersham Hotel in Richmond is organising a special poppy afternoon tea to honour The Royal British Legion Remembrance Fortnight from 28 October to 14 November 2010.

The Hotel is only moments away from The Poppy Factory in Richmond and wanted to do something additional this year to support the UK's leading charity in the provision of help and welfare to the serving and ex-Service community and their families

Carefully created by André Aden, Head Pastry Chef at The Petersham, The Royal British Legion Afternoon Tea will include the following delicious treats,

Poppy seed brioche with raspberry jam
Shortbread with poppy seeds
Raspberry mousse macaroon
Chocolate praline and almond biscuit with chocolate poppy flower
Lemon tart with chocolate poppy flower
An assortment of sandwiches.

With each Poppy Afternoon Tea sold (£19.50 per person), The Petersham will donate £2 to The Royal British Legion. Reservations for The Royal British Legion Poppy Afternoon Tea can be made by calling 020 8939 1084 or by email to restaurant@petershamhotel.co.uk.
