We try Clipper teas and a great competition

12:01 am

We have been trying out some more teas from Clipper Teas this week, and we have gone back to basics to see just how good their organic versions of Britain's fave's English Breakfast Tea and Earl Grey really are.

First up was the Earl Grey tea, we thought that this would be perfect with afternoon tea, we are heathens who drink their's with milk but obviously you would normally serve this with lemon. The Earl Grey flavour was really and nice natural and if you are a fan of the Bergemot flavored beverage you will love it. Your can actually taste the difference between this and normal tea, unlike some "earl grey" tea where you feel like all you paid for was fancy packaging. If you have never tried Earl Grey this is the place to start.

We like to drink English Breakfast Tea in the afternoon (we are odd like that) so we brewed a cup about three o clock and sat down to sip. The tea was a lovely blend of the Assam and Ceylon teas and has a full, refreshing flavour that would be welcome at any time of day. The tea had a gorgeous clean fresh taste that would go down well with most tea lovers.

As well as specialty teas Clipper are offering a range of lovely alternatives for summer with their fantastic array
of fruit infusion teas.  These are lovely served hot and also cold as  gorgeous iced teas.  With the long summer evenings, alfresco dining and bank holiday BBQ's  just round the corner, Green Tea with Strawberry is a current favourite. Why not check out Clipper Teas’ new website where you can keep up to speed with their teas of the month and get 20% off fruit infusions if you shop online – they start at £1.35 for 20 bags which we think is a real bargain. You can also join the Clipper tea club where you can become a taster and they will send you free samples of fantastic Clipper products. For more information please go to www.clipper-teas.com
